FAKE

The figure was examined many years ago by the B.M. and failed on a few points: He should be a 12th Dynasty ish tomb model worker, maybe from a boat. The wood does seem to be ancient. The construction is wrong, he has pegs in his feet for attachment to a boat or model, this is correct but the arms are very wrong, should be movable and pegged, also the colour is wrong too dark and should be much more red, also the face has no painted eyes, he should have white and black painted eyes.
