above listed item is from the Ptolemaic Period,(330-30 B.C.E.). This
incredible and extremely rare "Head of Zeus-Ammon" was carved
from marble. We acquired this lovely piece from a select private collection
and its provenance is Alexandria, Egypt. Depicted is the head of the
Greek god Zeus as the Egyptian god Ammon in Helenistic art style. His
hair and beard are intricately detailed. This head may also have been
part of a larger statue. This beautiful sculpture is intact. This is
a wonderful holiday gift for anyone interested in Helenistic or Egyptian
