In the above listed item this Fisherman is from the New Kingdom Period (1539-1075 B.C.E.). This is a wonderful example of every day Egyptian life. He is in striding position on a raised base. His hand has a hole where a pole has been and lost to antiquity. This is a fragile and very rare ancient wooden piece! The piece is intact, carved from wood, has age wear and is covered with an earthen patina. This is an exquisite find for any Egyptian collection!.
