This is a wood carved mummy mask with {black} pigment accented eyes/eyebrows. This beautiful piece is carved from a single piece of wood and has such truly beautiful details. This piece shows a male face with large almond shaped eyes, a slim angular nose, and small mouth. The figure wears a false beard. This piece would have been fixed to the lid of the coffin to give the deceased a face. There is some surface cracking {to th back only) which i have detailed with the close up photos. Winning bidder will have a lovely piece to treasure!.This superb piece measures 11 3/4" by 6 1/2" inches.
